Fresno, CA – Police report that a woman has been hit by a car and is in critical condition
FRESNO, CA – The Fresno Police Department reports that a woman is in the hospital after being struck by a car on Monday when she was crossing a busy junction. Around 6:20 p.m., police said they received a complaint about a pedestrian and a vehicle. Police say a witness told them that a lady and a man were arguing verbally when the woman fled into the southbound lanes of Anna and Shields, where she was struck by a car.
Police said that four to five minutes after the initial report, they discovered a woman in her 30s who had been hit by a car in the eastbound lane of Shields. The car’s driver remained at the scene and assisted the authorities.
According to officials, they saved the woman’s life up until American Ambulance took over. At that moment, the woman was taken to CRMC, where she is currently listed in critical condition, according to the authorities.
Drugs and alcohol had no influence on this collision.
