TULARE, CA (March 02, 2022) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a woman died after colliding into a bridge in Tulare County.

CHP officials responded to a call about a traffic collision near Avenue 384 and Road 88 at 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday. According to CHP, the vehicle hit the concrete abutment of the bridge. According to officials, the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 31-year-old female, was driving east on Ave 384 when she lost control of the vehicle, driving off the road, and then hitting the bridge, officials say.

CHP officials say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, and alcohol was a factor. The investigation is ongoing, according to CHP.
